Overview
This 2-hour Anti-Harassment for California Employees training is designed to empower employees to understand and address various forms of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and abusive conduct in the workplace. Participants will also learn about the laws designed to protect against these behaviors.
By the end of the course, employees will be equipped to recognize, respond to, and prevent harassment while understanding their role in fostering a safe work environment.
Through an engaging and interactive format, this training provides practical tools to identify harassment and discrimination, report incidents effectively to Human Resources, and support colleagues as allies when witnessing inappropriate behavior.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
- Distinguish between discrimination, harassment, and retaliation and identify various forms harassment can take in the workplace (including harassment based on gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation)
- Understand the laws that protect victims against sexual harassment
- Respond to and recognize harassment situations
- Identify your employer’s responsibilities in recognizing or preventing sexual harassment
- Identify different types of discrimination, microaggressions, and unconscious bias
- Understand how to draft a formal written complaint
- Understand your options in filing a charge of discrimination with federal (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission-EEOC) anti-discrimination and harassment agencies
- Identify abusive conduct in the workplace
Target Audience
California law requires employers with five or more employees to provide harassment prevention training to their employees every two years.
This course is for all employees not in a managerial/leadership role.
