Course Content Example 1:

Unconscious Bias

Unconscious bias is defined as prejudice or learned stereotypes for or against a person, thing, or group that are often considered to be unfair. These prejudices or stereotypes are usually automatic and unintentionally triggered by our brain while making a snap decision. Most of the time you are unaware of how prejudices or stereotypes are impacting your decisions and/or behavior; as a result, it’s an unconscious bias.

Course Content Example 2:

The People

The identity of an organization is created by its people, their behaviors, values, and goals. Companies strive for excellence and the key to creating excellence is teamwork. When inclusive teams are created with a wide range of backgrounds and experience, employees and organizations are set on a course for success.

Diversity and inclusion haven’t always been a top priority for many organizations causing a gap in employee relationships. It’s important to be mindful of the differences between yourself and your coworkers due to gender, race, religious and cultural background to avoid creating an unwelcoming environment.
